THE ROOTS

Town and Country was founded in 1976 by Ken Milleman’s father who operated until about 1980.

In 1985, Ken opened the business again under the name Town and Country Fencing in Redding, California. He started with just one man, himself, and his truck (pictured above.) He was able to hire a few more employees after building the business up on his own.

In 1997, he moved to McMinnville where the business was re-named Town and Country Builders, and he started on his own once more. In 2000, the current name Town and Country Fence and Deck was coined and has stayed ever since.

In 2016, the business was obtained by its next owner, M. They built more connections in the community, provided quality work and customer service, stayed in touch with Ken, and kept Ken and his father’s aspirations progressing to get us where we are today.

In 2022, David and Maranda Bowers took ownership of the business. Previously operating DM Bowers Construction doing general contracting, they shifted their focus to fences and decks. David has worked for Town and Country over many years, so he was familiar with the company and client base.

At the end of the day, Ken is still in touch with the owners, and he is able to see his ambition and all of the work that he did to start Town and Country from the ground up (twice!)

It is an honor to be able to keep the dream alive to this day.
